Media Player classic and ffdshow 3m3k

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on April 27, 2006 - 11:28am

Hello all,

I have a question to ask, and I hope this is the right forum Smile

I have Media Player Classic on my USB drive. One of these days I learnt that MPC can play FLV files if used together with the ffdshow codec filters. So, I try copy the ffdshow files, install them into MPC. But somehow it cannot work as I found that even though I have set up MPC to use ffdshow.ax filter, ffdshow somehow have to read some entries from the registry simply to recognise the FLV media type.

On a local computer installation (not in USB), everytime I install ffdshow and MPC (specifically using the K-lite Mega Code Pack installer), I have to go to the VFW configuration window, set the FLV1 format to use 'libavcodec', then MPC will be automatically be able to play FLV.

Can't get used to PStart 1z1sa

Until I found this site, I used to use AMenu. The problem is this abandonware's company is gone and left it with some limitations:
1) No menu can have over 10, well - 8, buttons (because 2 are reserved).
2) No submenus (but I fixed that by having many copies around and linking them via buttons).
3) No drag and drop, but the INF (a-la PStart's XML) file is very friendly in Notepad and besides, it's 8 buttoms at a time at most anyway.

Portable WackGet and Flashgot Problems 4e4416

I saw somewhere on this forum someone posted a PortableWackget. I'm using it with my Firefox Flashgot extension. The problem is, whenever the drive letter of my usb pendrive (For instance, if i have on my computer H: and on another computer is F:) i have to reconfigure Flashgot for loading Wackget, and then tell wackget what my folder is (which i always want to be a Temp folder on my USB pendrive).
Also, sometimes WackGet won't resume s, but i'm assuming that the problem is the same as above.
I's there any solution to this?

UPDATE: i've also noticed that my configurations

Portable GIMP won't start - intl.dll was not found 731w6o

Submitted by RussSmith on April 10, 2006 - 7:32pm

Before you respond that this is a known issue, it isn't the same as the one listed. I don't have any version of GTK installed. The only other intl.dll I have is part of BitTorrent and even replacing one with the other doesn't solve the problem.

Any ideas?

PStart Starting on Install 583e3n

Is PStart supposed to be starting on install? That was my understanding and if it could it would be great. For some reason the computers at school won't let me find my flash drive. Thanks
