KompoZer: Relative paths to HTML files in Site Manager. n2955

Submitted by rickh57 on February 2, 2006 - 2:26pm

I installed Portable NVu to my usb drive and it works well. If I use a drive letter, it works fine on that box, but then after moving to a different machine where the usb drive is mounted with a different drive letter, the files can't be found until I edit this location.

I'd like to be able to specify a relative path to my site html files on the removable disk, but haven't been able to figure out the relative syntax. Has any other figured out how to specify a relative path?

KompoZer: Firewall 435tg

Submitted by bparsons on January 23, 2006 - 9:41pm

I love this program. However, it would be good if it had firewall settings . For example, I cannot set it to USE a firewall setting as I can in Dreamweaver. Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I started using portable nvu to create a new website I was working on, but hit some bugs in the program which put me off it. After chasing some leads down on the internet it seems like there has been no interest in the nvu project from the developers since the middle of last year. If ony an updated version could be released I think this could possibly be one of the most powerful portable apps that could exist. The power of dreamweaver on a stick, oh so good. Having learned nvu pretty thoroughly I can say it really could be so powerful. I really don't have any clue how to write a program myseld so I will have to leave it to others, all I can do is say that I really hope the dev will continue so one day soon I can be runnind nvu 1.5 off my flashdrive while I update my website at my gf's house.

I just ed an unzipped the PortableNVU package and I found that the PortableNVU.ini file contains the keywords for the PortableThunderbird application. ... Maybe this should be corrected in next version.
