Portable Lotus Notes? 1aw59

Submitted by rever75 on January 10, 2007 - 8:49am

Hi,
I am the Systems for my company and would love to be able to create a portable Lotus Notes Client. Is this possible if has one been created but not released? Any info or help on creating one would be great. That the moment I use Thunderbird with IMAP to receive my E-Mail. However, I do not have any access to the databases with Thunderbird. The company NOtes developer is not developing the Databases with Web access compatibility so accessing it via Firefox is not possible. Again any help with this would be great.

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this, but i was playing around with the splash screens for the apps on this site, and if you use the "Flatten Image" option in GIMP, then save the splash, the size for a majority of the splash screens is nearly cut in half. Not only does this save space because the splash is smaller, but if you recompile the launcher after doing this, the launcher takes up less space at all.

Grateful Portable Apps Newbie 64295j

Submitted by Bong Sanvictores on January 7, 2007 - 3:19am

I found two portable apps that are very useful- 7-zip and AbiWord.Have always used Firefox (now 2.0.1) which the whole program directory was just copied to my USB Flash Drive. With a little tinkering it worked pretty well and complete with the add-ons, except I never realized I was leaving tracks on other machines. Of course, I have now switched to Fx Portable. I have found out that most of my favorite web apps ( manager and WinHTTrack are inherently portable.

Firefox Launcher NSIS Config? an67

Submitted by superflyguy on January 2, 2007 - 11:08am

I'm trying to edit the Portable Firefox launcher, but I don't want to figure how to make an NSIS configuration file from scratch, so I was wondering if there was somewhere I could get one, if not necessarily for the Portable Firefox launcher, at least for one of the Portable Apps.
