Checking for Updates

Is is possible to stop Platform 10 from checking for updates? I realize it isn't supposed to without checking but I don't like anything "calling home" without permission.

Wow, Portable Apps have gotten pretty big too. My current version runs on a 2 GIG drive with room to spare and I still have one version operating one a 1 GIG drive. I don't see a "light" version cataloged.

Thanks,
Bob

Options

It's in options under the advanced tab. Just untick it.

There are no pre-built suites now. You just install any apps you want from the app store. It's build-your-own.

stop checking for apps

I have looked under options and I can't find any place to "uncheck" to stop it from checking for apps every time I start it up. I'm on a very slow connection and it takes forever. I don't want it to check every time.

Options - Advanced

Under Options on the Advanced tab.

You may want to start using the beta. The next release will be greatly speeding up update checks and reducing bandwidth.

Stop checking for special program

Is there a way to tell the updater to not show updates for a special program?

I just have a license for TeamViewer 7 and don't want to upgrade my portable teamviewer-app to TeamViewer 8. Smile

Regards,

Thorsten

Rename

Rename the TeamViewerPortable directory to TeamViewerPortableed or similar. The updater won't alert on it any more.
