You're using it

If you're using either the 68.x stable release or the 78.x stable release on the Test channel, you're already using the 64-bit version. Like Firefox, both 32-bit and 64-bit are included and the correct one for your PC automatically used.

I am using the one-and-only

I am using the one-and-only PortableApps Thunderbird version (I found so far):

https://portableapps.sitesunblocked.org/apps/internet/thunderbird_portable

And this is 32bit (v68.12.0 stable)

I am using 64bit Windows 7. So if the package from the link above contains both 32 and 64bit Thunderbird then it should auto-recognize and install the 64bit versions. But it doesn't

Both

If you have an older version that you've been letting automatically update, then it is 32-bit. If you a fresh copy and upgrade according to the standard install (platform preferred, install over second) you'll get both: https://portableapps.sitesunblocked.org//portable_app#upgrading

You must run it using ThunderbirdPortable.exe to ensure it's starting correctly as always.

is there a way to delete the 32bit and use only the 64bit ?

Hi
is there a way to edit the launcher and some config file to force to run thunderbird without the 32bit version?
I have ed the last version and it contains both version , it's pretty huge a fresh install 450mb
Thunderbird64 is 209 MB
thunderbird (32bit) is 196 MB
both in the app folder , I can delete thunderbird64 but not thunderbird32
it's just to have a smaller portable version
and the portable leave some folder in the folder like Crash Reports ,Pending Pings and others
thanks

Almost

Delete the contents except for the thunderbird.exe binary within and it should work. I'm going to update the launcher so you can in a later release.
