I think there are some reasons to use KPP in favor to FFP's integrated manager:
o Kee (Portable) is a general purpose database were you could save all kind of (e.g. transactions numbers for online banking, serial numbers, files like pgp keys or registrationsfiles, PINs and PUKs for cellular phone SIMs, and other not primary internet related )
o Kee (Portable) is more secure as it uses a stronger encryption method and even encrypt the s in memory when running; as FF has a relatively large base there are huge struggles to find and exploit weaknesses by criminal elements - and therefor it is much less reliable as safe (phissing, hijacking etc.)
o with Auto-Type, command line arguments and a kind of scriptable system it is much more flexible (regarding procedures) and can be used for not internet related stuff like TrueCrypt etc
o last but not least the s can be organized more intuitive with hierarchical groups and comments
OK, they are all valid for me and mustn't be for you
Thank you Ryushi and RBM for all the information. I will look into it.
For me FFP2 fits my current needs but as a general database of /private data I could see a value in KPP.
Thanks again
Tim
