Sweet! 2b6o1

Any chance of doing YUMI as well?

I agree 3d6b

I use YUMI as well. It appears that YUMI is probably GPL as well, but I could not see anything that verified that it was (see here).

Add Anything? 4j221i

I don't think YUMI adds anything UNetbootin doesn't already have. YUMI seems less feature-complete is it requires you to ISOs on your own whereas UNetbootin has it all integrated and automated.

Multiboot 4l1o2e

YUMI lets me put several ISOs on a stick, for example Ubuntu 12.04 and some smaller anti-malware distros. After a quick look, I havent found that on the Unetbootin page.

in my opinion rufus is a good 2391e

in my opinion rufus is a good alternative that I may package up and it's designed to look like a windows format disk tool as well and isn't just limited to making live linux usb tools

Multiboot 4l1o2e

I havent found anything saying that Rufus can put more than one iso on my stick.

EDIT: Maybe SARDU (https://portableapps.sitesunblocked.org/node/26144) is a better/another tool.

FWIW 2s6j

YUMI is good for people familiar with UNetBootin with similar UI. You need to the ISOs in advance but I don't know anyone in my geek circles that uses either app to the ISOs. Additionally, YUMI can be used for Windows ISOs. Haven't worked out how to add OSX ISO's though due to the pesky EFM partition.

Windows ISO 635d69

Both Rufus and UNetbootin can be used for Windows ISOs.

Multilingual 2p4q4a

UNetbootin is multilingual. A multilingual UNetbootin Portable installer would make sense.

It Is? 3c4h1z

I see nothing in the UI, configuration or included files to in any way indicate that it is multilingual.

Uninstall of Frugal install 5o2a1

The non-portable version detects when I have done a frugal install to HDD and offers to delete the boot entries if UNetbootin is re-run. The key registry values for me are:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\UNetbootin]
@=hex(6B757A74):
"Location"="C:\\"
"DisplayName"="UNetbootin"
"UninstallString"="C:\\unetbtin.exe"

Considering that this "portable" app is already heavily modifying the host system in the case of a frugal install, would it be best to leave these entries?

When UNetbootin removes the existing boot entry it also deletes the ...Uninstall\UNetbootin] registry key.
