Portable With Additions 2s1n2f

K-Meleon is quite portable on its own. I've added a couple enhancements. It cleans up the empty directories left behind in APPDATA. Paths within the settings and extensions files have been fully portablized as you move PCs either via USB or cloud drive. The default profile directory is within the Data directory for compatibility with the platform's simplified backups as well.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Can't get Java Portable to work with K-Meleon Portable 515w45

Hi John,

Nice to see K-Meleon on the PortableApps platform.

Just a slight bother: I can't get Java Portable (installed in CommonFiles 32-bit) to work with K-Meleon Portable.

Any ideas?

Just curious: Who uses Java x4j4z

Just curious: Who uses Java for anything any more? Is there some specific reason you need it?

I'm so happy to see this released as an official portableapps.sitesunblocked.org app.

What took you so long? K-meleon was portable two years ago. 3g4j46

K-meleon scores as high on the HTML5 Test as firefox and microsoft edge, and es the Acid Tests as well as any other browser. It is built on the same technology as firefox, but without all the bloat, so it's much faster and lighter. K-meleon can use many firefox plugins, plus there are many plugins and extensions (found on Sourceforge) built solely for K-meleon. Yes, it's portable, but it's also powerful enough to be a primary browser.

K-meleon was updated in fall of 2014 to version 74 and the current version 75.1 was released last September. Version 76 is in development. Development ceased four years (2010-2014) because Mozilla failed to update the Gecko engine. As soon as it was, the K-meleon team updated the browser and continue to develop it.

How do you use Firefox plugins? 4a1h1x

And is there an unoffical list somewhere of compatible plugins?
