drive is whole harddrive. 232h5p
drive is whole harddrive. volume is an old word meaning folder. basically a volume refers to content rather than the physical drive it is on

A volume is a file you create that can then be mounted as a drive letter on a given computer and used as any other drive. Hence the name logical volume. It's a volume that exists logically but it is not a physical drive itself (like your hard drive or flash drive is). A volume is not a folder.
