No, it doesn't, Portablization 1u2p62

First off, the launcher uses 1MB of RAM after starting the app. Here's it running on my system right now: https://i.imgur.com/2oG80ex.png

Second, like most 'portable' apps, LAME XP will lose some stuff as you move around. The launcher portablizes the paths within Lame XP's settings file so that things like your Output directory are preserved if you move between PCs and the path to your drive changes. Or you sync between PCs with different names using Google Drive/Dropbox.

Third, you get things like easy installs, automated updates, and integrated backups due to the format: https://portableapps.sitesunblocked.org/about/what_is_a_portable_app#whypaf

Fourth, if you want, you can just use the non-PAF version if you don't care about the backups, automated updates, verified virus-scanned releases, etc and want that 1MB of RAM back.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
