Local Folders

I have imported my settings from the Thunderbird of my Descktop (coping all the files of my profile in Desktop PC to the profile directory within Portable Thunderbird). I have configurated in my Portable Thunderbird new "Local Directories" for the mails of all my s (I have 7 s). But I can't do it with the "Local Direcory" for "Local Folders", it remains allways the same: "C:\Documents and Settings\...\Local Folders". I wnat to have a "Local Directory" for "Local Folders" in the Pendrive, "E:\...\Local Folders". Any special to do? Thank you.

Not sure what you mean

Just copying your profile from local TB to PTB is enough for all your mail and configuration to work within PTB. The local directory doesn't need to be adjusted.

The problem with Local Folders

The problem is that:

I need that all the messagges for all my s stores in the Inbox of "Local Folders". In my TB this works well configuring a Local Directory for each , and a Local Directory also for "Local Folders". In my PTB I can only configure the "Local Directories" for the s, but not for "Local Folders". The problem is that: When I read the mails for any from PTB, I can see this mails in the Inbox of "Local Folders", but closing and reopening PTB, I can't see any more this mails in the Inbox of "Local Folders", they are not stored in the Inbox of "Local Folders". I think but I'm not sure, that the problem is the configuration of the "Local Directory" for the Inbox of "Local Folders". Is Is the problem clearer? Thank you again...

Ah

No, "local directory" is not ed in Portable Thunderbird at the moment. If you want all your mail in one place, the way to do that is to set each mail to use Local Folders (rather than having each with its own message store) and leave Local Folders in its default configuration. You'll need to use PTB 1.5 for this. Just grab the beta and let it update to TB 1.5 final.

Thank you

Thank you, John. I'm using PTB 1.5 beta. I'll try to do what you say...

Now all works well

Now everything works well. I made some modifications in the prefs.js of PTB, copied together with all my profile of TB from my PC, and everything works truly well. Thank you, John, your disposition to help, and your speed to make it, make you worthy of many congratulations. God blesses you.
