Greetings!
I'm new to using USBs and portable apps and I need advice.
How can I keep my usb & desktop secure & safe from viruses/malware?
Do I need to format the usb prior to using? If so, how?
If I want to erase everything and clean the usb to reuse it, do I need a special app for that or just delete?
I will be ing Clamwin and SpyDLLRemover Portable, but do I also need something like Panda Vaccine for my desktop or any other program(s)? What about Autorun-Eater?
I've also come across an app that you can use to have a for more security. Which is the best?
Any other suggestions/ideas or something else I need to know?

That's called reformatting. It requires priveledges though. It's not the same as deleting everything.
This is a good list of portable anti-malware programs.
If you mean to protect s, there's Kee Portable. If you want to -protect files, there's TrueCrypt and FreeOTFE. They are perfect for supreme paranoia.
In the end, if you want to keep yourself safe from viruses, run ClamWin Portable as much as possible.

reformatting doesnt need rights. i have done it many times in nearly every windows OS as well as mac and linux. dont know where you got that digitxp
because I don't know how to do it! So that's a time saver for me!
