Automatically check email?

I ed, installed, and started using Thunderbird Portable about 20 minutes ago. Wow! What a cool thing, and it was really easy to implement.

My only question, I know that Outlook Express has an option to automatically check email every x number of minutes. I can't seem to locate this option in Thunderbird. Is it not available in Thunderbird, or am I not looking in the right place? Thanks in advance for your help.

Oh, also, I configured it to check my GMail , but I will be having it check other s as well. Will the port settings all be the same, regardless of the ?

General Questions

These are general Thunderbird questions and best read up on in the documentation. You'll find links to all the standard TB documentation from the page.

Thanks John. I can probably

Thanks John. I can probably figure out the port settings and all of that, but I'm not finding the part about having TB automatically check e-mail every x number of seconds. Can I get a little hint, at least? I'm just trying to find where to look.

Settings

It's right in settings. Server settings particularly.
