Helper does not properly recognize the Home directory 614563

When running the helper to install, I get to the to start the install and then it gives me an error message with some funny characters in front of '/Documents' -- so it cannot create or write the installation directory for the platform. This prevents me from installing on my M2 MacBook (Sonoma).

Are we supposed to be using the helper?
