Firefox crashes while printing 76w2x

Submitted by souha on April 14, 2023 - 9:12am

hello everyone,
i'm currently using FirefoxPortable ESR :102.1.0 customized for my application.
This version of Firefox uses the new print preview interface which has been introduced in version 86.
In order to switch to the classic System Print Preview dialog box , i have added this preference _pref("print.prefer_system_dialog", true).
However a problem has occured during the print procedure following these steps:
Click on print
Click on Microsoft Print to PDF
Click on PRINT
then Click on Cancel

Firefox 111 and 112 Not Working 32u2x

Submitted by movmnt on April 13, 2023 - 3:55pm

I've been using Firefox Portable for years and it's been working great. But v111 and v112 both crash on startup. The splash screen shows but Firefox doesn't start.

Launcher improvements for local mode? a4u19

This might be a difficult matter to agree on, but a lot of people prefer using portable apps on their PCs as local apps. My reason is that it gives me understanding that everything is being saved in one place and not in AppData or elsewhere.

Updating wipes App folder customizations 3m2z3z

Submitted by choin on April 2, 2023 - 12:03am

- Install Portable Firefox
- Customize it with stuff
- Update using original Portable installer
- Discover that your customizations were wiped

The problem is, from what I understand, that the installer will wipe the App\Firefox and App\Firefox64 folders. But a lot of customizations rely on additional files located in these folders.

Right now, to update Portable Firefox, I resort to installing a new version into a fresh folder, then copying its contents over my original installation. That way my customizations are preserved.

Start Firefox ignoring plugins of the running system 584f50

Hello,
I searched for a answer to my question, but I found not a working solution.
It is possible to start the firefox portable version with a paramter or something else without searching for installed plugins of the Windows operation system. (-no-remote does not work). The best solution would be the use of the .ini file.
This is for me a possibility to have a look on a website with and without plugins.
Thanks for reaction

Firefox ESR Portable x32 - why not? 2h4w1w

Submitted by Grizzled on March 19, 2023 - 7:15am

Good day to all!
I'm interested in the question, what is the reason for the refusal of the x32 version of Firefox ESR?
The browser is already going through hard times, because of the not very clear and not popular decisions of the developers ... But you are there too.
For myself, I found a way out, figured out how to make Firefox ESR Portable x32 from your assembly.
So, here comes the second question. Why are there settings in your assembly that have not been ed by Mozilla for a long time?

FIDO U2F issue 14764

Submitted by NDL on March 17, 2023 - 6:08am

Hi,
Using a Yubikey for FIDO U2F has been broken since 110.01 and still broken on 111.0

Works fine in 'Full Fat' Chrome and allegedly works on in 'Full Fat' Firefox (not tested it personally but Yubico Team have)

Can fallback to OTP via the Yubikey but FIDO U2F is much more convenient and has worked fine for several years on previous builds of FF Portable.

A fix would be great Smile

All FF-Portables are crammed together suddenly instead of several instances 3o1z2

Submitted by froxie on February 28, 2023 - 9:04am

Hi

For ages, I'm using Firefox_1.exe, Firefox_2.exe etc. having two separate instances of Firefox available.

But suddenly a few weeks ago, this wouldn't work anymore: Firefox instances are crammed in a single Firefox-Icon on the toolbar even though the exe-files have different names Beee
Well, I had to add "-no-remote" in order to be able to start more than one of them...
Otherwise I haven't changed anything.
