TB 102.10.1 not using Windows system colors 5o494e

Submitted by DDE1212 on September 22, 2024 - 12:54pm

I am working on custom CSS for TB 102.10.1 on Win 10 and have discovered that the Portable install is not using the system color scheme for the menu bar at the top. A "regular" installation defaults to use the system color for the menu without any custom CSS. In a "regular" install AccentColor will change the color of an element to the accent color chosen in Windows settings. In the Portable install, it does not have any effect on the elements that I have experimented with.

Hello. Currently using the installed version 128.1.0esr x64. I use it for work and require maximum reliability and don't have any plugins. I just make do with the stock install. Wondering if I can copy the profile folder in \AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\ into the portable version and will just work?
Cheers.

Hello,

I've been using Thunderbird Portable for many years, 32-bit version, now I tried the beta version for bug fix.

I ed ThunderbirdPortableTest_128.0_Beta_1_English.paf.exe portable version (64-bit) from portableapps.sitesunblocked.org, created backup of my Thunderbird folder, installed portable version over the existing portable 32-bit version, it was started correctly, window positions and sizes are preserved, all settings and s are preserved, even though it's a 64-bit version, I updated it to beta 4 successfully.

Can't update, very slow 473k8

Hi,

I have the Versio 115.7.0 (64-bit) and want update to 115.9.0 but the is just 2.2 kB/s. I have that issue since few days already. The directly from SourceForge takes around 2 minutes.

I am in the Philippines and have 70 Mbps speed. Should I update TB over the "Abound Mozilla Thunderbird"-Window.

Thanks and regards,

Lukas

Edit: I think every app is very slow. KeeXC just 3.0 kB/s. FireFox I can't update, I says there is an error maybe during an incomplete . I have to try it again in few hours.

I'm new to Portable Apps. This is my first post.

I've read a lot of material on portableapps.sitesunblocked.org, but I still don't understand how a portable app works with the Windows registry.

I'm starting with Portable Thunderbird so I'll use that as an example. I installed just the portable app itself, not the full portable apps launcher, since I'm just trying this out for now.

Thunderbird Portable v102.15.1 (64 bit) Menu Bar is Not Saved 213170

Submitted by viking2 on January 15, 2024 - 5:34pm

I select View>Toolbars> Menu Bar to get the Menu Bar. However, after I restart Thunderbird Portable v102.15.1 (64 bit) it is gone. I need to re-add it each time after restarting.
How can I save the Menu Bar so that it is still there after restarting?

EDIT: I have no Add-Ons enabled, but when I start Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode, the Menu Bar is there.
