Thunderbird Portable 643h13

Wrong link 1r2a63

Submitted by JKEngineer on April 7, 2016 - 10:05pm

The latest version, 38.7.2, is not what is requested through the link on the PA page for Thunderbird. It is still coded for 38.7.1 and is labeled that way on the page. I was able to get 38.7.2 by copying the link and editing the 38.7.1 to 38.7.2 in it.

Not portable? 1d4t1f

Submitted by GoD on March 18, 2016 - 11:19am

There are a lot of references in the profile folder to the current folder.
First there is ThunderbirdPortableSettings.ini with LastProfileDirectory. This looks ok.
But there are also references in files in the profile folder like
panacea.dat
compatibility.ini
extensions.ini
prefs.js
extensions.json
search.json
When I have everything on a stick and put it into another computer, all messages get ed again.
When it's the same drive and path, everything is fine.

GPG and 2nd Profile 2v6rx

Submitted by Freehunter on February 17, 2016 - 9:52pm

Tried to use ThunderbirdPortable2ndProfile but does not seem to be set up to use the GPG Plugin. Couldn't find GPG and when given path it creates the keyrings and other files under Application Data\gnupg. When exit Thunderbird the gpg-agent.exe and gpg2.exe are left running. On exit the keyrings are left in Application Data\gnupg. Can this problem be verified?

I have not checked but SeamonkeyPortable2ndProfile may have the same problem.

Windows 10 can't link mailto links to Thunderbird Portable 3p332t

Submitted by Pkitty on January 5, 2016 - 3:14pm

I can't get Windows 10 to send mailto links to Thunderbird Portable. In the Windows 10 settings for mailto I am offered a few things I do not want, but no way to add my own preferred application. Nor can I find a TB setting to set itself as the default app for mailto links.

How do I export Keyconfig settings? 613k1d

Submitted by fefrie on November 12, 2015 - 5:32pm

I use TB Portable, and for simplicity sake, instead of upgrading, I just the new version and delete the old.

How do I keep the old keyconfig settings? I'd rather not have to remap the keys everytime I get a new version.

email link not opening Thunderbird 4l2m4y

Submitted by Boris on November 10, 2015 - 12:05pm

If Thunderbird v38.3.0 portable is closed and I click on an email link I get a pop up window asking me to open a new newsgroup .
If Thunderbird is open and I click on an email link I get a new message opens with the link address filled in.

How come it doesn't work when Thunderbird is closed?

Running Windows 7 64 bit.

Hallo,
my major problem after update to TB 38.3.0 + Lightning 4.0.3 = EVERYTHING is gone, all s, all mails, ... nothing, TB starts from new.
Safe mode, disabling addons, going back to TB 38.2.0 - nothing helps. After transfer of /data/profile, local s are back in an new profile
Annybody an idea how I get back my s inkl. pop3 and imap.

THX in advance.

broken?: new-message-arrived sound-selecting 1ro3u

In Thunderbird 38.3.0 packaged by portableapps.sitesunblocked.org.
In Tools->Options->General: "When new message arrives" -> "Play a sound" (checkbox activated) clicking "browse" does nothing, and cant enter the path manually either.

Local Folders folder won't expand 5gs2c

Submitted by parmil on October 12, 2015 - 11:52am

Somehow my local folders have collapsed, and I can't reexpand them. Some I can see in explorer, but some are invisible. I use the portable version. thanks.parmil

When I tried to create a new folder with explorer in the default "local folders" folder on my hard drive, I am told there is already a folder with that name. That's what I mean by invisible.
