I was very happy when i ed the ptb201 release. I tried to upgrade my previous ptb1.5 to 2.01 but when i tried to localize i get errors Sad
I tried to localize your btb201 release but I got the same errors.
I ed the latest HU release from here
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-mozilla...
and copied to ThunderbirdPortable\App\thunderbird but i get this message at the bottom and the menu is missing.
menuitem id="FolderPaneContext-new"----^

I tried to install switch-locales-1.5.1.xpi also but final is the same.

How could I solve?
Thanks

Change profile location 5b2e3f

I have set a folder for personal data I regularly synchronize between a usb key, containing ThunderbirdPortable, and a desktop computer running standard Thunderbird software. The idea is to get my mail folders, address books as well as environment (extensions, themes, s, options) identical between my usb key and my home computer, what ever the software version used, and keep all changes automatically.

But I cannot re-locate the folder "profile" to a personal data folder with the portable edition, thing that i can do easily by adding "-ProfileManager" after the standard thunderbird.exe.

New GPG Version in TB 1.5.0.5? 2g6l6h

Hello,

great work with TB 1.5.0.5 again, thanks a lot.
Is the new GPG-version used in this bundle, too, or it's the old version 1.4.3?

Registry Editing Has Been Disabled... 546g2p

Submitted by Bulldog on August 3, 2006 - 4:48pm

When I start and close Portable Thunderbird I see the message "Registry editing has been disabled by your ", which is correct since I'm only a limited here at work.

To banish these messages I simply moved the 'registry' sub-folder out of the 'data' folder. Everything seems to be working fine. Is it okay to leave things this way?

Since it has to be installed (normally), I'm not sure how to update it. I'd rather not be stuck with 1.4.3 forever.

I have been using portable Thunderbird off my USB for some time now. I am now planning to use Thunderbird as my main Email client on my PC. I wish to continue to use my USB drive to take my Email around with me, when I am not carrying my laptop.

How do I ;

1. Move my existing Email from my USB drive to my laptop.

2. How do I keep Thunderbird on my laptop in sync with T'bird on my USB.

Thanks in advance.

As a new , I ed and setup Portable Thunderbird on my thumbdrive. I setup two s and ed some mail.

Now, I have my thumbdrive at home and the s I setup are gone. I did setup each to use its own folder and not the local folders.

I am using the portable launcher version 1.1.4.1 and Thunderbird version 1.5.0.5.

My office machine has my thumbdrive set to letter F: and my home machine has my thumbdrive set to letter E:.

Thanks for you help in advance.

Different SMTP servers at home and work 2j5qi

Submitted by fhanselmann on July 28, 2006 - 2:53pm

I have multiple personal email s across multiple personal domains.

I am trying to find out if it is possible to setup PTB to use the individual SMTP servers for each personal domain when I am using it on my home PC but only use one SMTP server while at work. Port 25 is blocked at work, but I can configure PTB to use work SMTP server to send mail. I can't and don't want to use the work SMTP server while at home.

Put another way, is it possible to run two instances (not at the same time) of PTB (one for home with it's servers setup, one for work with it's server setup) and use the same data store? Or is there another way I haven't thought of to accomplish this?
