My TB portable auto updated from 78.2.1. to 78.2.2 and after restarting my TB, the folder pane on the side has no folders displaying (folder pane toolbar is enabled, Folders > All - selected, Closing TB and opening it shows "all" unselected again (with nothing else selected)

Hello I recently updated to Thunderbird 68.1.0, I forgot to disable automatic updates and today when I started it as usual the program updated itself to ver. 68.12.0 and now, no matter what, I can't pin it to the taskbar, I tried everything and every tutorial I came by.

Could you please do as you did with Firefox to avoid removal of "policies.json" when upgrading, if the file is present in ...\PortableApps\ThunderbirdPortable\App\Thunderbird64\distribution ?

I just got a security warning about Thunderbird.

It says that versions prior to 78 are vulnerable.

Why hasn't Thunderbird portable updated to 78?

I have set Thunderbird v68.11.0 (32-bit) as default email client on my Win10Pro machine, and checked that the mailto: link is handled by Thunderbird.
However each time I click a mail link on a webpage, it opens thunderbird in "new " mode, instead of normal mode where I already have 5 s listed.
Can anyone suggest where the problem might lie?

Hello everyone.

A couple of weeks ago I formated my PC and used a backup of my "appdata" folder to run thunderbird portable. Just placed the data from profile folder and it was working smoothly untill today.

The window of thunderbird portable wont open, it only will show this crash report window.... have windows defender and made a exception for thunderbird. Did not help. Dont know what to do else. What is strange some month ago I lost some sent mails about 2 month old, they were simply gone. Also tries safe mode start Thunderbird portable did not react.
Somehow found the crash report number , can someone get me some help? I am not a computer geek , so step by step would be very nice ... 7093303d-e8a4-49b4-abbd-b3cd2e91a59a
